More Colored Drawings!!!

First Drawing was taken from Sketch VOL.#6 ~after shock!!!
The colored version:
This one, compared to the first colored drawings has more elaborate shadings. I really enjoyed coloring the stuffed rabbit/bear/whatever. I patterned the color from Hunny-senpai's Usa-Chan.

Second Drawing was taken from Sketch VOL.#5 ~Sobrang Random
The colored version:
See the difference when I used the color? The first drawing was supposedly Homura-chan from Anime PMMM but nobody from where I've posted recognized her. Again, the drawing was drawn without looking at the original drawing so the costume isn't that accurate. Gomen!

Third Drawing was taken from Sketch VOL.#3 ~Summer 2011 Special
The Colored Version:
Ito naman, ni-try kong maglagay ng background pero ampangit!!! ahahahaha I'll try to work on that... Soon!!! Ahahaah

Attempt to Color my Drawings using Paint.NET

The title says it all ahahaha!
My very first colored drawing was...
which was included in SKETCH VOL.#2. This was colored using oil pastels. I did it around 2009 just before I entered college.

And now, with lots of people asking me to color my drawings, I tried to color my drawings using Paint.NET. Paint.NET is a program I discovered last year when I started editing [mostly edit through trimming] my drawings.

Here's the first drawing I tried to color...
A typical yellow hair + emerald eyes + light skin scheme.

After lunch, I tried to color another drawing...
Here's the original drawing:

And here's the colored drawing:
I patterned the color scheme from Kagami of Anime Lucky Star.

I want to learn more!!! Can anybody please help me?

Jonalyn & Julius' Wedding: Part 2

Siguro bukas nalang pag punta namin nina Mama at Chamme.

Family Vacation 2012 THIRD DAY [2012.05.24]

sa pangatlong araw, we decided to go back to the lowlands after lunch...

Nagpunta muna kaming Baguio Cathedral para magsimba... if I remember it correctly, this is the second time na nakapasok ako dito; am not too sure.

So nagpicture picture nalang kami. Si Chamme nagcostume pa! Php 10.00 ang unlimited shots dito.
Chamme wearing an Igorot costume
Syempre sumakay din ng kabayo... Php 10.00 naman ang per shot dito. Sabi ko nga ke kuya, panu pag nagkamali? Hehehe.
Chamme nakasakay sa kabayooo! Magkamukha sila
After nun, foodstuffs naman!

Me and Mama sa Mines View!!!

Tapos kumain kami nung sweetcorn nila... Grabe kayo! Pero still, parte ito ng vacation. Hindi naman ako ang magbabayad so go lang ng go!

Angbilis naming natapos sa Mine's View. 9am palang eh pauwi na kaming Isabela. Okay narin yun, medyo boring narin eh.

Somewhere in the middle of nowhere just before Kayapa, nagstop over muna kami sa isang ilog para maligo at maglunch narin.
It's more fun in the Philippines!

Sana nga matuloy yung Palawan Trip namin next summer hehehe. Masaya yun!

Family Vacation 2012 SECOND DAY [2012.05.23]

Brrrrrr. Eww!

After nun, nagtungo na kami papuntang Burnham Park.

Grabe. Andami naming stores na pinuntahan. Yun, in the end, nakabili din sya ng PXP [oo, PXP nga.] After nun, pumunta kami ni Joy sa National Bookstore. Grabe andaming tao.

Ansarap kumain pag libre!Kakatapos lang kumain.

Tulog na ako. Ahehehe.
After ng lunch, we headed to the Botanical Garden. There are so many old Igorots there sa vicinity ng Garden. At nagpapabayad sila ng PhP 10 for every picture. I saw na this kasi sa isang documentary na napanuod ko kaya we refused to take a picture with them. Madaming nagbago sa Botanical Garden. Peaceful parin dito. Angtahimik... Sarap magmeditate.
Oh pose muna!
Grabe umulan pa!
Nagawa pa naming magpicture picture habang naulan!
Mga bagong Torogi!
We decided to go na to rest. Sobrang kapagod.
Bago kami nagpunta sa BPI, kung saan kami magstay for the night, nagpunta pa kami ng Benguet ulit para i-follow up yung work-related stuff ni Dad.

Nakarating na kami sa BPI. Dito kami nagstay ni Dad nung last time na nagtake ako ng entrance exam sa SLU Baguio. So lamig dahil maulan!!! Tig-i-isa kami ng bed. Angsarap matulog dito sa Baguio, grabe!

Jonalyn & Julius' Wedding: Part 1

Joemar & Xenia's Wedding

So ndi na ako magna-narrate pa.

Lahat kami me role sa kasal.

Haruna Luna 「Sora wa Takaku Kaze wa Utau」Released!!!

-sigh-
another late post.

From what I've read and saw, Haruna Luna is a model from Kera Magazine who aspires to be a singer; well, with her debut, she's now a recognized [anison] singer. She's a fan of Yuki Kajiura. She's a Yui Makino look-alike; she is!

Haruna Luna sang the ED of the anime 「Fate/Zero S2」, the second season of the popular adaptation. Yuki Kajiura, who also composed for the music of the anime and the OP of the second season, wrote the lyrics and did the composition for the song, 「Sora wa Takaku Kaze wa Utau」. Very lucky girl to have Kajiura to compose for her debut + the song is a tie-in of a very popular masterpiece.

Here's the Cover Art:
「Sora wa Takaku Kaze wa Utau」cover art
The Tracklist:
1. Sora wa Takaku Kaze wa Utau
          Chorus: Akiko Noda
2. LOVE TEARS
3. I WANNA Denji Teki DO
4. Sora wa Takaku Kaze wa Utau (Instrumental)
          Chorus: Akiko Noda

My Review:
M1. Sora wa Takaku Kaze wa Utau
A very beautiful ballad indeed. Yuki Kajiura never ceases to amaze me. Even though Kajiura didn't arranged the song, thus no Kajiurago, the song really did moved me. It's very fitting with the anime. The animation sequence of the anime was really touching; even though am not into cheesy love stories, you can feel Kerry's and Iri's feelings for each other. Sweet. Haruna Luna's voice is quite okay; not very low like KEIKO but not very high like HIKARU and KAORI. My favorite part/s of the song was during the chorus when the mood of the song just burst out. So so so touching.
Oh and I forgot to tell you all that I love the TV version of the song better even though there were only minimal differences.

Sorry but I don't post download links etc. Only to special cases like 「sing a song」single which wasn't made available to non-FJC memebers and some songs from Sound Tracks.

Family Vacation 2012 FIRST DAY [2012.05.22]

So sana next vacation eh sa Palawan kami pumunta. That would be awesome. I wanna visit naman the rest of the Philippines kasi sooper stuck na kami dito sa Luzon.

Napagdesisyonan nila Papa na magpalipas nalang kami ng gabi doon so yun dun na kami nagstay for the rest of the day.

Bukod sa baon naming ulam, me lechon manok pa! Sarap.

Hayz.
Medyo okay naman ang tulog pero napaka-UNCOMFORTABLE. Yun lang.

Madami pa kaming pictures dito!!!

FictionJunction CLUB 「silent moon」

A netizen friend from a Sound Horizon forum was able to get a copy of 「sing a song」single from a FJC Club member. Fortunately, he gave me a digital copy of the single.

I decided to add a follow-up post due to high number of hits in the FictionJunction CLUB 「sing a song」Released!!! post.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
So here's the song 「silent moon」
You can download it HERE
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

「silent moon」is the very first a cappella song composed by Yuki Kajiura; or so I think it is the first released commercially [well almost commercially since the CD was only available to FJC memebers]. The main vocalist for the song is YUUKA. It's been a long time since her last collaboration with Yuki Kajiura; the latest song before 「silent moon」was the b-side song「Hitomi no Chikara」from FictionJunction's first single 「Parallel Hearts」.

Like the first song, 「sing a song」, 「silent moon」features a very rich combinations and harmonization of the six utahimes: KAORI, KEIKO, WAKANA, YURIKO KAIDA, HIKARU, and YUUKA. Well, maybe even richer to the fact that their harmonies were only the support for the melody and they certainly did well at that; Yuki kajiura did well! I hope she creates more songs like this one. I also hope for more YUUKA songs in the future.

First Time sa Punta Amelita

First Time ko sa Punta Amelita... at kagagaling ko lang sa nakakapagod na byahe...

Ni-celebrate kasi namin yung birthday ni Tito Tolits kaya kasama namin yung ibang relatives ni Tita Tere. Pagkakatanda si Mama, Papa, Chamme, Inang, Joy, Bush, Aye, Tita Tere, Angel, yung isang girl, Jhunnel, yung isang boy, Kuya Boyet, Herdy, at si Kuya Erik.

Nakarating ako dun, kumakain na sila. Andaming handa grabe! Ang sarap mamulutan!; of course walang alak!

Wow maganda nga talga yung Punta Amelita. garden na garden. Engrande.

Ewwwww.

Si Joy merung bagong flame! Si Jhunnel. Lapit kasi daw ng lapit sa kanya. And guess what? Ahahaha!

Nakakapagod na Uwian

May 19, 2012 was the last day of my summer class. Unfortunately for me, I wasn't exempted from taking the [shitty] final exam for EnSC 13; -sigh- and I thought I would never ever take a final exam in any engineering science courses. The exam started at 1pm and finished at 5pm.

Malandi eh!

Ahahaha.

Anyways, I texted Marissa to wait for me sa Victory Liner.

"NO MORE VACANT SEATS FOR THE REST OF THE DAY.

Kaya we decided to split the discount! Thank you Marissa! So yun. nakatambay lang kami sa Victory Liner for almost 8 hours! Well, I think it's a good thing din naman kasi we were able to catch up on things: school life, love life, mga chismis, etc.

Nung medyo malapit na kami sa ccq sa Aritao, nakaramdam na ng pagsusuka-sensation si Marissa and being a palaasar that I am, asaran to the max habang pinipilit kong mag-induce ng vomit. Ahahaah!

Habang ako, me 2 hours pa hanggang makarating ng Cordon. Pero masaya rin naman. Bale ndi ako deretsong bahay at sa Punta Amelita ako nagderetsu kasi me gathering at happy-ning kami.

Kalafina 「to the beginning」Released!!!

Another late review!!!
I've been waiting so long for this single to come out in the market. Finally, it's here.
「to the beginning」is Kalafina's 10th single and the title song was used as the OP for the anime Fate/Zero S2, the second season of the anime series.

Here's the single cover:
「to the beginning」cover

Here's the Tracklist:
1. to the beginning
          chorus: Hanae Tomaru, Yuriko Kaida
2. Manten
3. to the beginning ~instrumental~

Review:
M1. to the beginning
A very typical FJ-style OP song, really. But! What does Kalafina have in this song that's not in FJ's songs? A Wakana and Keiko [and sometime Yuriko Kaida] harmony? WRONG! FJ also has Wakana and Keiko harmonies in their songs. And that, my friend, will never ever disappear from Yuki's compositions... So what's unique with this song compared to FJ's OPs? First, Keiko got to sing a solo part not just in the bridge. Second, Hanae Tomaru's soprano vocals + Kajiurago; If my math's correct, this is the fourth Kalafina song in which Hanae did the chorus along with 「oblivious」, 「fairytale」, and 「Lacrimosa」. Third, the more noticeable Hikaru and Wakana harmony during the chorus parts.
And what are the similarities? First, The violin solos like in 「Parallel Hearts」, 「Toki no Mukou, Maboroshi no Sora」, and 「Eternal Blue」. Second, the kajiurago sang during the violin solos like in 「Toki no Mukou, Maboroshi no Sora」, and 「Eternal Blue」. Third, the key change like in 「Toki no Mukou, Maboroshi no Sora」in which it was like KAORI, WAKANA, then back to KAORI again; 「to the beginning」had KEIKO, WAKANA, HIKARU, WAKANA, then HIKARU again. Fourth, is the "bursting effect" on the chorus of the second verse similar to 「Parallel Hearts」and 「sprinter」. I'm sure there are more but these are the really noticeable similarities.
But make no mistake, I really love this song.
M2. Manten
This song is the japanese version of 「let the stars fall down」from 「Fate/Zero Original Sountrack Vol.1」and was used as the ED for episodes 18 and 19 of the anime which featured Kiritsugu's childhood story. This is a really good song which showcases the heavy usage of harmonies and lots of keychanges, mind you! Though not a very new style of song for Kalafina.
One flaw that I've noticed with the released of this single is that it was released too soon! I think it was around episode 15 of the anime. I mean, if they were gonna use 「Manten」as an ED for episodes 18-19, then they should have released it at that time. Because, duh! There are two tie-in songs in this single!!! Such a waste... -sigh- and I was also hoping this would surpass the first season's OP and ED.
