A very very very late review for the newest addition to FictionJunction's discography.
「Eternal Blue」was used as the Opening Theme of a Japanese PSP Game 「Senritsu no Stratus」

I was quite a bit shocked after the news since that time, 「stone cold」hasn't been released yet and another announcement of a new song arrived.

Here's the PV for the game which includes the new song:

The new song sounded okay from my point of view... though! A very generic FictionJunction song.
It uses the same structure like the past FictionJunction songs 「Parallel Hearts」, 「Toki no Mukou Maboroshi no Sora」, and「stone cold」. In that, KAORI still sings at the start of every verses then WAKANA sings the chorus, and well, as expected, KEIKO and YURIKO KAIDA in the chorus and Kajiurago. In a deeper comparison, it has the following similarities with other Kajiura songs:

  1. The violin part similar to the  「Parallel Hearts」 and「Toki no Mukou Maboroshi no Sora」.
  2. The Kajiurago at the start similar to Savage Genius'  「Hikari no Yukue」and 「Toki no Mukou Maboroshi no Sora」.
  3. The overlapping KEIKO voices similar to Kalafina's  「Lacrimosa」.
There might be more similarities and I'll find it out after the release of the full version.
By the way, the game version of this song had been already released in Senritsu no Stratus ORIGINAL SOUNDTRACK.

I can' wait to hear the full version. Lucky Japanese fans who've already listened to the live performance of the full song. Though I'm not gonna expect a single for this since the ost was already released several months ago.

Sigh, I hope a new FictionJunction album will be announce soon...
